Open Question: Historical Investigation Topic - Help please?

I typed way too much in my last question and I felt like the wall of text was scaring everyone away. I'm gonna try to make this shorter this time. Okay, so I need a Historical Investigation topic. We're writing Mock IA's and researching tomorrow. I'm interested in religion as a whole, but Islam/Middle Eastern Religions to be less general. My topic COULD be on anything. I just need to have sufficient sources for evidence. Our teacher said, "If you can find a book on your topic, it's too broad." Here are a few examples of topics: "What were the political causes of Julius Caesar’s assassination in 44 BCE?" "To what extent is the image of Marie-Antoinette portrayed by the propaganda prior and during the French Revolution true?" "To what extent was censorship used in Taiwan during the period of 1945-1979?" "'To what extent was the “Deutsche Physik” movement successful in establishing “Aryan” physics in Germany in Nazi Germany?'" Thats how specific they should end up, but if you can contribute something that is less general than the religion of Islam or religions of the Middle East, then go ahead.
